The Story

Tom Fowler

Tom has several years’ experience in the industry after spending much of his early life living in the South Pacific where rugby is a religion. Educated in England, fluent in French and conversant in Tongan, he has a very diverse client base including rugby internationals from numerous countries whom Tom has successfully placed throughout the rugby world. Tom is a member of the UK’s Association of Rugby Agents and is a registered agent with the RFU. Tom is also a licensed agent with the Fédération Française de Rugby.

Nick Taylor

Nick is a former professional player from Sydney who previously worked as a lawyer in both Australia and the UK. Passionate about rugby, extremely commercial and very well respected by governing bodies, clubs and players alike, he has been one of the leading rugby agents in Europe for several years and has been at the forefront of some of the biggest deals in European rugby. Nick is a member of the UK’s Association of Rugby Agents and is a registered agent with the RFU.

Ali Smith

Ali has worked in the sports industry since graduating University in May 2007 and was employed as a Client Manger by Phoenix in December 2007. He has proved to be a valuable addition to the services Phoenix can offer their clients. While providing support for our existing clients he has successfully developed his own client base. Having played semi-pro rugby in England, Australia and South Africa, he has been able to identify and manage the most talented young players.

David Young

David was a professional rugby player for over 11 years, he started his career with Leicester Tigers and later moved to Gloucester, competing  in the Aviva Premiership and Heineken Cup. David then made the move north to Edinburgh and whilst playing in the Pro 12 represented Scotland A.  He also has experience of playing in the English Championship and also played a season in Italy. As a recently retired professional David offers a mentoring service, drawing on his own experiences to give sound advice and knowledgeable feedback, to our young players.
