Scots Brown & Allan re-sign
Edinburgh winger Tom Brown has re-signed with his hometown club for another year. He said: “I’m delighted that I’ve managed to settle another deal with Edinburgh, and can look forward to another year at the club. On a personal note, I’m an Edinburgh boy and it’s always been a dream to represent the club, so it’s great that I can now look forward to next season at BT Murrayfield. My time at the club so far has been brilliant, and, at this point in my career, there’s no place I would rather be than Edinburgh.”
Scotland international prop Alex Allan will be staying in Glasgow until at least May 2018. The 23-year-old joined the Warriors from Edinburgh Rugby in 2014 and has gone on to make 26 appearances for the club. Allan, who has represented Scotland at all age-grades and ‘A’ level, made his full Scotland debut in the 24-6 win against the USA on the 2014 summer tour. He was called into the Scotland training squad for the RBS 6 Nations.
He said: “I’m really enjoying my rugby in Glasgow with the way we play. There’s a great set-up at the club and the atmosphere in the squad is good as well. Being named in the Scotland squad for the RBS 6 Nations was a huge honour and I want to build on that selection and try and get more caps.”
